The Challenge
Established in 1881 as the Ontario Jockey Club, the prestigious Woodbine Entertainment Group is home to Toronto’s only Casino and Race Track for recreational gambling. It also houses a variety of venues for events including restaurants and bars delivering experiences ranging from old-world charm to swanky cosmopolitan vibes. Being the most preferred destination for all kinds of social and private events, Woodbine felt like it needed to revamp their digital presence to consolidate their numer-uno status.




Our Approach
The UX Audit was done for Woodbine’s Host Your Event website. The website itself was doing what it was supposed to do but when we dug right in we found quite a few arenas that can improve the overall UX of the website.
The UX Audit was an eye opener for the Woodbine team. After the UX Audit was done, the team worked on revamping the website based on the UX Audit recommendations.



The Outcome
Our UX design process resulted into a complete overhaul of the website focussing on ease of access to book the venue and showcasing the facility’s hosting capabilities.
This gave a boost to the digital presence of host your event site, by increasing engagement significantly (32% increase in time on site, 45% more page views, 16% increase in conversions).
