The Challenge
FNF is a leading provider of title insurance and transaction services to the real estate and mortgage industries. FNF is the nation’s largest title insurance company through its title insurance underwriters.
FNF Canada was looking to create a new SAAS Platform for Mortgage Appraisals, the objective was to connect the lender & the appraisal companies directly and reduce manual activities.
Our Approach
Idea Theorem™ team worked closely with FNF Product team to better understand the process of mortgage appraisal. This involved working closely with the lenders who initiate the process and the appraisal companies who are responsible for most of the execution.
Leading to an On-Site tour with an appraiser to better understand the steps that he/she goes through when it comes to appraising a commercial or a residential unit. This helped us understand the pain points & opportunities of digitization throughout the process in order to incorporate in the SAAS platform.
The Outcome
FNF’s new SAAS platform was born with one goal – to help streamline mortgage appraisal process for appraisers & lenders. Idea Theorem™ helped reduced significant processing time by decreasing manual steps. Also incorporating internal chat communications resulting in reduced email workload – bringing in transparency and better audit trail. Designs have connected well with customers. Lenders such as TD & BMO – have already signed up for the platform to become the go-to platform for Canada’s Mortgage appraisals.
